These sliders were a big hit at my granddaughter’s baby shower in October, 2024. I’ve added them here in case I am ever going to host a party ever again. Simple to assemble and bake, big impact!IngredientsOne dozen Hawaiian sweet rollsFor the sauce:1 tablespoon pickle relish2 tablespoons catsup2 tablespoons mustard8 ounces canned crushed pineapple – drainedOR – try my homemade Russian dressing, maybe with corned beef, sauerkraut and Muenster cheese! The meat & cheese6 ounces sliced deli ham ( I like maple flavored)3 ounces sliced deli picante provolone cheesePreheat broiler with top rack 8-10 inches from top of oven.Slice the dozen rolls horizontally as a unit so you can assemble the goods. Do not separate the rolls. Place them on a baking sheet, cut side up, that is covered in parchment paper.Blend all the sauce ingredients and spread the sauce evenly across the bottom of all the rolls.Layer the cheese & meat across the bottoms of the rolls:1.Layer of cheese2.Layer of ham3.Layer of cheeseBroil for 1-2 minutes, watching carefully as they are easy to burn! Broil just to melt the cheese and add a little color.Reposition your oven rack to the middle of the oven and reduce temperature to 350 degrees.Remove the broiled rolls, and cover with the tops of the rolls. Then cover all loosely with foil, and bake further for about 10 minutes until heated through. Cut into individual sliders and serve hot or warm.
