My Mom got this recipe from her good friend Mrs. Diamond and I have been using it for over twenty years.  A funny thing, oyster crackers have nothing to do with oysters for ingredients.  It’s just that they are often served traditionally with oyster stew or clam chowder.  Go figure! Ingredients: ¼ cup of a light vegetable oil (I use canola or corn oil) ½ teaspoon garlic powder 1 package 1 ounce dry ranch dressing mix (I use Hidden Valley – see photo) 1 package 11 ounces oyster crackers (I use Keebler – see photo) Mix everything but the crackers in a measuring cup or small bowl.  Then add the crackers and stir well to cover all the crackers.  Spread the whole mixture onto a large baking sheet and bake in a 250 degree oven for 15-20 minutes, stirring once while baking. Cool down and enjoy!
